Wish #4.... North Country

While gazing at my North America map yesterday, it struckme I've never been to many parts of Canada.  I always thought, as I grew up on a border town, I knew enough of Canada  I'd seen it all… but really, there is so much more to uncover and discover 

 I want to venture to the atlantic provinces.

The Atlantic provinces are five very unique provinces: The maritimes- Prince Edward Island, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland and Labrador. 

The maritimes were settled by the Irish, whose influence is everywhere. (From looking at the landscape, I wonder why the Irish people chose this new home…)

In Newfoundland lies an amazing Viking settlement I must go see.  L'Anse aux Meadows dates back to 1000 a.d.

Im heading up to the north country with the cold wind in my eyes. I'll be there by sunset, before the first snow flies.

Wish #3.... Before Destiny

Manifest Destiny wiped out whole populations of people along with culture, as well as several  animals, like the wild buffalo.  There is one known herd of wild buffalo remaining in the USA.   Wyoming region holds this piece of what the world was like before expansion. And its breathtaking.  If you haven’t yet, go see them.

Wish #2.... Seek Beauty

Its idealistic of the area, yes, but the colors are simply wonderful.

I want to get lost in the sea of color someday.

Wish #1

I wish to have a new-to-me set of traveling wheels with plenty of extra room.

Wanderlust:

A strong, innate desire to rove or travel about Intense urge to collect, explore and create; a yearning for knowledge and understanding.

Whimsical.

Those who know me understand that I spend my days searching for the next new place, constantly searching for the era I was meant to be from.

I haven't been posting regularly on Victoria Nouveau because, well, I'm done with that. Perhaps its just a form of Adult ADD, or perhaps its the other Gemini twin rising.... but I have decided to switch up this blog.

This new (maybe improved?) blog is going to be where I share as I check things and places off my Wanderlust Wishlist.  

Posts may be just pictures of things I want to do/places I long to see. I may post details of cultures or traditions, tips for festivals and faires, or journal our adventures and discoveries. This is a place to share what makes us smile.

I hope that you'll share your adventures and discoveries, as well, creating a sort-of online community of thinkers and doers!

That's the first on my Wanderlust Wishlist!

I'm planning on switching this blog up, because, honestly, I'm bored with it......
