Grief can become so familiar that its emptiness feels filling.   At times reality chases away the uncontrollable desire to wander.

Of course, the summertime’s heat, leaving daydreams dancing across the road,  calls to the gypsysoul and beckons it come play.   The air, so thick it clings to the skin, basically begs me to explore again.

Paper Love: A Real Hitch-hikers Guide

Snow Days are for reading.....
Day 6 of No Work... Thank you Winter Storm Jonas.
So, Rosie Swale, the author is pretty amazing.  She ran around the world... seriously.  And this book, Rosie Darling, is basically her early 70's memoir of hitching across Europe and is absolutely perfect.

Not-So-Abominable Snowbeasts

This happened in 1 day.
And I'm content.

So, where I am, its just snow.... a lot of heavy snow.  Thanks to the snow, I got a 4 day weekend (so far)-- there's just so much to move!    Thanks to the snow, I finally get a playable winter!   But, the shore isn't so lucky.  This storm was more than "just snow" in the ocean towns.   Click here to read about the STORM

But for this yooper girl, I finally feel HOME here.
